My Bounce payment is marked “pending”: what should I do?

A payment can appear as “pending” until the recipient accepts it. You can cancel or resend the request as long as it hasn’t been accepted.

Why is a payment pending?

A payment shows as “pending” in the following cases:

  • The recipient has not yet accepted the transaction.

This status is normal: the transfer is awaiting validation by the person concerned.

How long does it stay pending?

A transaction can remain pending for up to 30 days.

After this period, it will be automatically cancelled.

Is the money debited while pending?

If you have sent money, the amount is debited from your account within 1 to 3 business days and held in a bank account owned by Bounce, pending the recipient’s acceptance. If the recipient has enabled automatic deposit, the money will be transferred directly to their account as soon as it has been debited. Note that there may still be a delay, depending on the payment method chosen. See [link to article on processing times] for more information.

If you have made a money request, no debit will occur until the person accepts the request.

Can I cancel a pending payment?

Yes. As long as the transaction has not been accepted, you can:

  • Go to the My Transactions screen.

  • Tap the transaction in question.

  • Press “Cancel transaction.”

Will I be notified when the transaction is no longer pending?

You will receive a notification when the recipient accepts, declines, or when the transaction expires.

What if the person doesn’t respond?

You can simply resend the request by tapping the button provided for this purpose.

No further action is required.
