What are the transfer times?

The time it takes to send or receive money with Bounce depends on the type of account used for the transaction.

When transferring via the Bounce wallet, the money is received instantly.

The transfer is almost instant when it’s between internal Bounce wallets, with no external delay, and also from a wallet to a bank account depending on your bank. Here is a list of banks where transfers are almost instant:

  • RBC (003)

  • TD (004)

  • Bank of Nova Scotia (002)

  • National Bank of Canada (006)

To add funds to your wallet, it can take up to 3 business days before they appear in your wallet balance.

Transfers via a bank account are processed through the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) system and can take up to 3 business days. This delay depends on your financial institution.

The role of automatic deposit

Automatic deposit allows the recipient to receive funds without manually accepting the transaction.

It does not speed up banking processing times — it simply removes the confirmation step.

For money sent, the amount is debited immediately, even before the recipient accepts it.

If the recipient declines the transfer, the funds are returned to the sender.

If the transfer is accepted, it becomes final.

Bounce works continuously with trusted partners to speed up transfer times while ensuring your transactions remain secure.

Special cases / good to know:

A transfer may appear as “pending” if the recipient has not yet validated the receipt (unless automatic deposit is enabled).

No banking processing occurs on weekends, but you can still make transactions using your Bounce Pay or bank account. Requests can be made at any time.
