How to choose the account to debit or credit for a transaction?

Before sending or accepting a money transfer, you can manually select the bank account or Bounce Pay to use.

Available accounts

In Bounce, you can:

Connect multiple Canadian bank accounts

Use Bounce Pay, which works as your virtual wallet directly within Bounce.

These different accounts can be used either to debit a transfer (send money) or to credit it (receive money).

When to choose the account?

For sending: when creating your transfer via the central button, you can choose the account to debit.

For receiving: when accepting a money request, you choose the account to credit.

Important: once your choice is confirmed and the transfer is validated, you can no longer change the account. In case of an error, you will need to cancel and recreate the transaction. Note that it is not possible to cancel transactions sent in a group or if the recipient has enabled automatic deposit.

Take the time to select the correct account before swiping.

Helpful tip:

If you regularly use multiple accounts (e.g., a chequing account and Bounce Pay), make sure to check the selected account before each transaction.

You can also change the default selected account in the “My Money” section of the main menu in the app. Choose the account you want and tick the “Set as default account” box.
