Bounce protects your data with bank-grade security: 2FA, biometrics, full encryption, anti-fraud monitoring, and secure hosting.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

At Bounce, the security of your personal data, banking information, and funds is our top priority. Here’s an overview of the measures we use to protect you every day:

1. Secure two-factor authentication (2FA)

When signing up or logging in, Bounce requires two-step verification (password + SMS code) to confirm you are the rightful account owner.

2. Biometric authentication

Enable fingerprint, facial recognition, or retina scan login for enhanced security and faster access.

3. Bank credential security

Your banking credentials are never stored by Bounce. They are handled by Plaid, a globally recognized and certified financial security partner.

4. End-to-end encryption

All information shared with Bounce—whether in transit (while being sent) or at rest (while stored)—is fully encrypted end-to-end.

5. Automatic log-out after inactivity

To prevent unauthorized access, the app automatically logs you out after 5 minutes of inactivity.

6. Intelligent anti-fraud system

Every transaction is analyzed by our fraud detection engine, which cross-checks multiple signals (identity, behaviour, location) to block or slow any suspicious activity.

7. Secure hosting in Canada

Your data is hosted with AWS Canada (Central Region) in data centres that meet the highest national security standards.
